Certified Public Accountant, University of the Republic of Uruguay. Master´s degree in International Business, Universidad Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona; Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, Montevideo. He has developed his professional career in PricewaterhouseCoopers and RSM International and is currently the audit partner at Ecovis Uruguay.

He has been a professor of Accounting Theory in Universidad de Montevideo and a member of the Uruguayan Association of Accountants, Economists and Administrators.
Mr. Caiafa has led numerous audits project for several national and international companies in many areas as telecommunications, finance, industry, commerce, transport and logistics. He has also led teams of Audit Quality Control Reviews in several countries (Costa Rica, Panamá, Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil and Ecuador).

He is a member of the Quality Control Committee at Ecovis International, as a representative of the Americas.
