Focus

I have a long history of advising on China-related investment, business operation, acquisitions and corporate finance. I advised on the first issue of B-Shares (Shanghai Vaccum), first issue of Redchip Shares (Guangzhou Investment), first batch of issue of H-Shares (Luoyang Glass)—all in the early 1990s. I have been advising numerous in-bound investments into and acquisitions of corporate targets in the Mainland of China since late 1980s covering all sorts of industries and business and almost all the provinces, autonomous regions and major cities. Since 2000, my work in advising out-bound investments and acquisitions by companies from the Mainland of China and resolution of their legal disputes in Hong Kong and overseas has been increasing steadily. This type of work sees me structuring, negotiating and co-ordinating transactions all over the world. In Hong Kong, I have been actively advising acquisitions and joint ventures in respect of companies incorporated in Hong Kong or offshore with business in Hong Kong, the Mainland of China or foreign countries; IPO through the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and the post-IPO compliance. Furthermore, I have been advising on formation, administration and termination of trusts for families, charities and management of listed companies since early 1990s.
