Pascal Thien-Ah-Koon is an attorney-at-law admitted in Paris (France) and at the Taipei Bar Association (Taiwan) as a Foreign Legal Affairs Attorney.
Advising and representing a lot of businesses and global accounts, he is specialized in high technologies and has some extensive experience in distribution and retail (cosmetics, health, luxury goods, etc.).
Pascal Thien-Ah-Koon studied law in France (University of Paris I – Pantheon-Sorbonne) and graduated with a Master (DEA) in Business and Economic Law (1995-1996) and also a Master (DESS) in Banking and Financial Law (1997-1998). He passed the Paris bar exam in 1998. He also graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of San Francisco, CA, USA (AACSB accreditation), with an emphasis in telecommunications and high technology, most faculty being high tech companies executives from the Silicon Valley .
After practicing in Paris in various firms (HSD Ernst & Young, Banque Financière Groupama, Metzner Associés), he worked for three years, after his MBA graduation, for a telecom and internet company as business development manager and focused on hardware and software integration with a team of engineers.
He moved to Taiwan in 2004 where we worked as the head of office for Asia-focused French law firms (Adamas and then UGGC & Associés) in cooperation with local law firms. He is a founder of the firm Tak Associés – Member of ECOVIS International. He was admitted to the Taipei Bar in 2010 as an attorney of foreign legal affairs.
He served (from 2010 to 2012) as the chairman of the France-Taiwan chamber of commerce (CCIFT), which represents and serves the interests of most French companies established in Taiwan, after serving for many years as board member and general secretary, and is now its vice-chairman. He has also been very active within the European Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (ECCT), working inside the telecommunications, technology, cosmetics, intellectual property, luxury goods and customs committees, drafting position papers and meeting with local government officials. He has also been elected as co-chair of the ECCT cosmetics committee since November 2011, until January 2020.
