Chinese President Xi Jinping visits Germany

Hannelore Kraft, premier of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to a state banquet in Düsseldorf, Germany. ECOVIS partner Larsen Lüngen took the opportunity to join the state banquet and to have interesting talks about Chinese-German economic relationships. In his speech Xi said: “I’m confident that the cooperation between the NRW and China will generate more fruitful results” For her part, Kraft said the NRW has enjoyed a close relationship with China, noting that more than 800 Chinese enterprises have settled in the state and over 1,000 NRW enterprises have invested in China. Sigmar Gabriel, Germany’s Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economics and Energy, and Hannelore Kraft, agreed that Xi’s visit has strongly pushed forward Germany-China ties and expressed confidence in China’s future development.
