José Bergés M., obtained his law degree in 1972, later joining the faculty of the prestigious Universidad Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), where he later served as Civil Law Professor for six years (1978-1984) while an Associate at Pellerano & Herrera, one of the leading, longer-standing, firms in the country, which he held for over sixteen years. In 1984, and with ample experience in legal practice, José founded BERGÉS LAW (now ECOVIS BERGÉS LAW), providing comprehensive legal support while specializing in arbitration, dispute resolution and civil and commercial litigation; complex real estate transactions; family, wills, trusts and estates cases; among other specialized areas. José has also dedicated important efforts to constantly publish legal articles in legal journals. With over 45 years’ experience, José is our firm’s most experienced partner and head of all litigation matters.
