ECOVIS Bondar & Bondar successfully represented UIA in a dispute with Swissport International

ECOVIS Bondar & Bondar successfully represented Ukraine International Airlines in a dispute with Swissport International Ltd with regard to corporate rights in Interavia LLC, one of the leading handling companies providing a comprehensive range of aircraft ground handling services and passenger services at international airports in Ukraine.

As a result of successful work of ECOVIS Bondar & Bondar’s lawyers, on November 26, 2014 the Supreme Economic Court of Ukraine reasserted the decision recognizing UIA’s property rights over Interavia LLC. By this decision, the cassation court finalized long-lasting dispute between UIA and Swissport International Ltd, which commenced back in 2012.

It should be reminded that the corporate conflict between Interavia LLC (former name – Swissport Ukraine LLC) originated in 2012, when Swissport International Ltd (then owning 70.6% of the charter capital), solely decided to increase the charter capital of Swissport Ukraine LLC. This decision was made contrary to the existing corporate management procedure and has affected a decrease of UIA’s share in the company.
