MJM Agro is investing in the Czech Republic, with Krmiva Salač joining its portfolio

MJM Agro has completed the acquisition of Krmiva Salač, one of the leading pet food distributors in the Czech Republic, reinforcing its strategic position in Central Europe.

The transaction includes wholesale distribution, the Propacky.cz online store, and a network of Slovakian suppliers, significantly expanding MJM Agro’s operational reach in the region. Jan Slaby and Lubomir Dugovic, who are partners at ECOVIS Corporate Finance CZ and members of the CEE team, advised the owner of the exclusive Monge distributor in the Czech Republic on the transaction. The buyer was the Reticulum investment fund, which specialises in acquiring companies with growth potential in Central Europe.

Krmiva Salač is a company with over 30 years’ experience, which has built a strong market position thanks to its expertise and the trust of its customers. A key element of the transaction is the exclusive right to sell premium dog and cat food brands, including Monge, an Italian brand and a leader in the super-premium segment in Europe.

This acquisition secures MJM Agro an established position in the retail and wholesale distribution of pet food in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The company plans to invest further in developing the pet food sector, with a focus on market consolidation and strengthening its presence in the premium product segment.
