Gerry joined the firm from a top 50 firm where he acted as relationship partner on a varied client portfolio. Gerry previously worked for BDO Stoy Hayward for 10 years where he gained extensive experience from running a portfolio of larger corporate clients. Consequently, Gerry has many years experience in advising clients on auditing, accounting, financial accounting and general business advisory issues.
Gerry spends a significant portion of his time helping overseas businesses set up in the UK. Gerry acts as an early stage advisor to guide businesses in the key early stage of overseas expansions. Gerry’s clients cover USA, Canada and mainland Europe and cover a wide range of sectors including Technology, Financial Services, Leisure and Retail. Gerry travels to the USA, Canada and throughout Europe meeting companies at pre market entry stage to assist them at this crucial point of overseas expansion.
Gerry deals with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulated clients in the practice. He acts for both international and UK only FSA authorised clients spanning a broad range of businesses from property and investment funds to hedge funds, broker dealers, corporate finance and private equity houses and third party marketers. Gerry provides a very broad range of outsourcing services to this varied client base.
Out of work Gerry is a keen cyclist. He has completed cycle challenges in New Zealand, Cuba, South Africa and Morocco and throughout several EU countries.
